WLSA Foundation

Founded under Women leaders South Africa, the Women Leaders Foundation aspires to break the cycle of exclusion and vulnerability by equipping girl children and women with the relevant knowledge and skills that will not only change the trajectory of their future, but that of their communities as well.

Amongst others, we run social impact initiatives, female empowerment programs, food parcels and clothing donation drives aimed at uplifting and supporting women and children in disadvantaged communities.

Girls and Boys Empowered Project

The Girls and Boys Empowerment Projects work with the youth from vulnerable communities to strengthen and empower them to be effective members of society and achieve equal, safe and sustainable societies for all to live.

In efforts to contribute to the achievement of the NDP 2030 goals and global goals for gender equality, in June 2020, Child Welfare Tshwane (CWT) and Women Leaders South Africa (WLSA) joint forces to address the increased femicide and Gender-Based Violence acts and empower the youth through a sustainable self-development, mentorship and leadership programme.

Sunrise Secondary School Educational Support Projects

The Sunrise Secondary School Educational Support Projects works with Sunrise Secondary School leaners from a disadvantaged community to support and empower leaners through their academic journey to be able to have increased chances of obtaining better results and succeeding in their studies till the tertiary level.

Aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4, Quality Education, Women Leaders South Africa (WLSA) approached Sunrise Secondary School to provide youth empowerment programmes aimed at empowering the learners to be motivated to perform well with their studies, increase education retention, assist them to access quality education and resources that they need to be able to produce effective results, succeed and become better leaders in the future.
